PRESS: Rosseti wants to write off debts of problem Caucasus firms
MOSCOW, Jan 24 (PRIME) -- Russian state power grid holding Rosseti wants to suggest creating a federal-level guarantee supplier, which could receive debts of the most problem-causing power sales companies of the holding in the North Caucasus Federal District, Kommersant business daily reported on Friday citing the company’s documents.
The debts of the problem companies on the wholesale market amounted to 48.3 billion rubles as of Wednesday.
Rosseti wants to revoke the status of a guarantee supplier from Dagenergosbut, whose debt on the wholesale market stands at 36 billion rubles, and to introduce a 4–5 year installment plan for other debtors.
A spokesperson for Rosseti said that the project is being approved.
In November 2019, Kommersant reported that Rosseti was considering transferring its loss-making assets to the balance of the government.
